65 Days & 65 Nights of Lockdown
March 14: Patrick's 42nd birthday. Announcement that Spain will be in full lockdown mode for at least two weeks. Go for a family walk in the mountains behind out house. (would we have ziplined into the smoky abyss if we knew it would last for months?!) Confirmed weirdest day of our lives. Only Leo is completely zen.
March 15: Express gratitude that we have enough oat milk to last at least a week.
March 16: Start homeschool. Discover Leo has developed an incredible Spanish accent and can write in cursive, but doesn't know how to read in Spanish and forgot how to in English. Also can't count past 10.
March 20: Wheels come off of any disciplined eating with spaghetti and meatballs dinner. Start calling ourselves "Gordis".
March 21. Celebrate Colette's birthday in style. Take showers and put on deodarant for first time in 8 days.
March 22 - Make a chicken that would rival anything coming out of Julia Child's kitchen.
March 31: Zoom happy hour with our friends that live 10 and 50 feet away from us but whom we cannot see in person.
April 5 - Kids and Colette coordinate teacher appreciation day.
April 6 - This man playing passionately on his terrace at sunset takes our breath away.
April 11: Make home-made Easter baskets and turmeric lemon cake. Neither look as good as we were picturing in our minds.
April 13 - Easter Bunny comes and leaves 12 Fantas around the caves, we continue to feast later in the day.
April 14 - Boys yoga is improving.
April 15 - Boys prep hard for Pedro's birthday. Pedro makes salt encrusted dorado to prep for his birthday.
April 16 - Go nuts for Pedro's birthday.
April 16: Notice Leo's rendering of Pat is most accurate drawing of him we've ever seen.
April 25 - Will eats a dinosaur leg.
